SEN Support

SEN Support

For students who have more complex needs, Heart of Worcestershire College also provides discreet SEN provision based at both our Redditch and Worcester campuses.

The curriculum offer includes Study Programmes from Pre Entry to Level 1 and contains all elements of a study programme, namely: main qualification, math and English, work experience, tutorials and enrichment

The overall aims of these programmes is to enable learners to develop life, independent living, personal and social and employability skills and to become as independent as possible while studying in a safe, newly refurbished area with designated classrooms, a sensory room and independent living flat.

Learners will also be supported through transition activities to identify appropriate progression routes which may include paid or voluntary work, a vocational study programme or use Adult Social Care community facilities.

All learners are supported by Learning Support Assistants throughout the college day and taught by highly experienced specialist SEN teaching staff.
