‘Con-grad-ulations’ are in order at HoW College

‘Con-grad-ulations’ were in order earlier this month at Heart of Worcestershire College as the College’s higher education students donned their caps and gowns as part of the College’s annual higher education graduation ceremony.

Taking place in the historic and picturesque settings of Worcester Cathedral, the students graduated in a range of subjects including Business, Engineering,   Computing, Law, Marketing, Education and Training, Health and Safety and Public Services.

The students received their awards from Principal Stuart Laverick, Chair of the Corporation Neill Bucktin and the Directors of their respective courses. Also in attendance at the ceremony were guest speakers Chris Slade, Director of Partnerships at Staffordshire University, Revd Alvyn Pettersen and Councillor Paul Denham, the Right Worshipful the Mayor of Worcester.

Speaking about her time studying, Nicky Fletcher, who studied Business Management at the College, said:

“The course has really helped me to progress in my career. I stuck with the College whilst receiving cancer treatment and the staff were tremendous and helped beyond expectations.”

Principal Stuart Laverick added:

“We are extremely proud to have so many students graduating from the Heart of Worcestershire College this year. They’ve all shown great dedication to their studies and we wish them the best of luck with their future careers.”
