TEF, TEF, Hooray!
02 July 2018
Celebrations are underway at Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) as it announced that is has upheld its Silver Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) status.
The UK has a world-class higher education sector, with all universities and colleges quality assessed through robust systems. The TEF builds on this by identifying and rewarding excellence in undergraduate teaching and student outcomes, in addition to the high standards of academic quality already required.
The College has been recognised as a silver standard provider for the second year running, providing students with a supportive, stimulating academic environment which helps them to fulfil their potential.
Talking about the College’s success, CRQ Leader Management & Professional Studies, Helen Bessant said:
“We are delighted to obtain this recognition of the quality of our work, which, based on this system, is higher than most national universities. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a high quality provision within our local community and this quality mark is a credit to the hardworking and dedicated staff we have here at the College.”
From HNCs to foundation degrees, the College prides itself on offering flexible programmes in a range of subject areas including: business, engineering, accountancy, marketing and computing, sports, public services and teacher training.
Providing small group sizes, partnerships with employers and universities, industry standard facilities and financially friendly tuition fees, HoW College supports learners through every stage of their studies and beyond.
Don’t miss their Higher Education Open Events on the 10th (Redditch) and 11th July (Worcester).
