Pastry & Baking Skills - College Certificate
Part time, one day per week. Monday 15th October to 17th December, 10.00 – 15.00
Do you think of yourself as the next Mary Berry or Paul Hollywood? Are you passionate about making baking and making desserts? No matter if you are working in the catering industry or a keen home cook we can help you to develop your skills and expertise. The course aim is to provide you with the all the patisserie and confectionery knowledge and techniques needed to improve your skills and confidence.
In addition to developing good practical skills in patisserie and confectionery you will learn the theory that underpins the production of hot & cold desserts, dough products and paste products.
Taught by our professional pastry chef, you will work in our pastry kitchen to prepare, cook and finish delicious products. All ingredients and equipment will be supplied.
No entry requirements are required but some basis culinary knowledge and skills will be an advantage.
How will I be assessed?
No formal assessment will take place but you will get regular feedback on how you are doing from your chef.
