The CILEx Graduate Fast-track Diploma (LLB) is for law and Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL)
graduates who want to qualify as lawyers without undertaking the more traditional and expensive Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) routes.
This is a part-time course available to those wanting to train as a Legal Executive. This is available to students who already have an LLB (qualifying law degree) and provides coverage of professional skills and practice units. Students will study two practical units (Civil Litigation and Conveyancing) and Client Care Skills (three units in total).
The staff in the law school come from a range of different backgrounds. Some have spent many years in the academic environment and have considerable experience in the delivery of various areas of law.
Other staff have come from practice backgrounds and have worked as commercial and private law solicitors and paralegals. This ensures that students have the benefit of both practice and academic experience.
