The primary outcome of the VTCT Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy Massage (QCF) is to confirm your competence in the job role of beauty massage therapist. All the units in this qualification relate directly to the specific job role of a beauty massage therapist.
This qualification is based on the beauty therapy National Occupational Standards (NOS) and is recognised by the UK's leading professional association, the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) as being fit for purpose to confirm your competence as a beauty massage therapist.Holders of this qualification are eligible to become a professional member of BABTAC.
This course is designed for learners aged 19+ years and will support you to gain employment as a beauty massage therapist, as the units contained in this qualification cover all the skills and knowledge required for this role. This is a vocational qualification and includes all the required elements to work effectively as a beauty massage therapist including, mandatory units covering the following: body massage, Indian head massage, and massage with pre-blended oils, stone therapy, monitoring procedures in the salon and contributing to the planning of a promotional event.
Entry onto this qualification is via attainment of a Level 2 qualification in beauty therapy and a successful interview
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is progressive and unit based involving both practical and written assessments with credit being given for skills as they are practiced within our onsite salons. The qualification that is achieved on this course is NVQ level 3 beauty therapy massage, which is validated by the awarding body VTCT (Vocational Training Charitable Trust).
What can I do next
At the end of the qualification you can further develop your knowledge and skills by undertaking level 4 qualifications or progress into a career as a newly qualified beauty massage therapist in various contexts such as commercial salons, day spas, cruise ships and independent/self-employed/mobile/home-based
