This professional accounting qualification is designed to give you a firm foundation for a successful career in accounting and finance. We offer tuition at the operational level across the three pillars of study; the enterprise, performance and financial pillars. The course is aimed to prepare you for the four examinations at the operational level. There are three main subjects at this level and these are all examined; we also offer tuition to prepare you for the operational case study exam. The three main subjects are E1 Organisational Management, P1 Management Accounting and F1 Financial Reporting and Taxation. Success will give you a mainstream accounting qualification, recognized throughout commercial organisations and the accounting profession. Management accountants play a vital role in managing business opportunities; they inform the strategy and help secure the future of businesses.
The CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting is delivered by an experienced team of lecturers who are all experts in their field. All have professional accounting or business qualifications relevant to their areas of teaching. Lecturers all have a number of years experience in delivering learning on professional courses and all have worked in industry at some time during their careers.
AAT L4 or equivalent.
The College has a commitment to widening participation in Higher Education, and will therefore give careful consideration to prior experiential learning, non-traditional qualifications and qualifications obtained outside of the United Kingdom.
How will I be assessed?
The course is classroom based and classes run on Mondays 9.30am to 4pm.
External examination (CIMA) with computer based exams for all units.

E1 Enterprise Operations:
The E1 exam covers several functional areas of business and will introduce you to the economic, social and political context of international business. You will learn about major developments in the field as well as important tools and techniques.
F1 Financial Operations:
The F1 exam focuses on how to prepare full financial statements for a single company and the principal consolidated financial statements for a simple group.
You will also learn about the regulatory and ethical context of financial reporting. This is vital in ensuring financial statements meet users’ needs.
P1 Performance Operations:
The P1 exam focuses on the tools and techniques used for information generation. It will explain how to use this information to evaluate and control present and projected performance.
Operational Level Integrated Case Study:
The CIMA case study exams involve a range of tasks based around the syllabus from the enterprise pillar. The aim is to challenge you to apply what you have learnt to a business environment through a range of practical business related tasks. This is a challenging assessment with a significant focus on exam technique and approach.
